Mission
Founded in 1897, Alpha Omicron Pi is an international women’s fraternity built on the belief that sisterhood has the power to inspire women to become their best selves. Across our chapters and alumni network around the world, AOIIs are encouraged to lead with purpose, pursue their ambitions, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Our four founding values guide everything we do:
♡ Character — Being women of integrity who lead with honesty, kindness, and confidence.
♡ Scholarship — Valuing education, personal growth, and a lifelong commitment to learning.
♡ College Loyalty — Being engaged members of our universities and supporting the communities we call home.
♡ Dignity — Treating ourselves and others with respect, compassion, and understanding.

Our tagline, Inspire Ambition, captures what AOII is all about. We believe every woman has her own goals, passions, and potential and that sisterhood should encourage her to go after them.
AOII is a place to find your people, discover your purpose, and be inspired to become the woman you want to be. 🐼

Campus Lights

Student Organization - Interest/Affinity

Website

Mission
Campus Lights was established in 1938 to fund the charter of the Gamma Delta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. After the chapter established itself, the brothers of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia decided to make the production an annual tradition. When the Second World War began, the brothers were called to serve their country. During the war, the sisters of the Iota Beta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota continued the cherished tradition of Campus Lights. The production entitled Campus Dim Out honored the men fighting in the war. Upon their return, the two chapters combined efforts to continue the Murray State University tradition that we know and love today.
Today, the proceeds of Campus Lights are presented to the Music Department for a scholarship fund. Over the years, the production has evolved from variety and student-written shows to Broadway-style productions.
